Biography
Ludsen Martinus began his musical studies in 2010 in Cartagena, at the Fundación Música por Colombia, where he studied saxophone and then violin. Later, he moved to the Universidad del Norte (Barranquilla) and in 2017 he was admitted to the Conservatory of Music of the National University of Colombia, where he is culminating his studies in Music with emphasis in Symphonic Conducting with Maestro Guerassin Voronkov. During his time at the Conservatory, he has received composition classes with Moisès Bertran, Harold Vásquez and Jorge Pinzón.
As a composer, his music has been influenced by Colombian Caribbean rhythms, especially champeta. This, added to the influences of symphonic composers such as Ginastera, Revueltas, Stravinsky and other 20th century music, gives his work a very particular touch.
His works have been performed nationally and internationally by ensembles such as: Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, Q-Arte Quartet, Latin American Quartet, KSU Chamber Orchestra, TCU Symphony Orchestra.
